For groups of 4+ people, you can now book a private cooking class! With your party and accompanied by an experienced chef, you prepare and eat a traditional Yemeni dinner. You will learn valuable kitchen skills based on centuries-old practices embedded in Yemeni cuisine. The afternoon will be filled with stories, sharing not just food but also the culture behind it.
No prior experience required, everyone is welcome!

Around long tables at venues across Amsterdam, you will get a varying three-course menu, making this the perfect night out whether you are by yourself or with company. About Your Chef
My name is Amal,. and I am the woman behind MT Yemeni Dish. Three years ago, I was determined to import Yemeni honey to the Netherlands, but due to regulatory challenges between Yemen and the Netherlands, I was unable to proceed. It was a challenging journey, but where this door closed, a window opened.
Cooking has been a constant source of joy throughout my life. When I moved to the Netherlands, I started to share my home-cooked meals with neighbours
and new friends. The community I have built because
of this, showed me how food can be a connector.
Recognizing the need for growth, I followed an academy to learn how to cater for large events , private garherings and parties. Living in a diverse city centre like Amsterdam, I have observed that Yemeni cuisine is underrepresented and often overlooked. When people ask me where do I come from. I often receive one of two responses: either they mention the war or they have no idea where Yemen is. This inspired me to create a platform to share my culture through our traditional dishes and the stories behind then as every dish tells a story.
